New Spanish Carp Record 34.5kg Common

A new Spanish Carp record was set this weekend with a huge common of 34.5kg from in Zujara in the Extramadura region of Spain; famous for its big fish.

Andy Mac from the excellent Spanish Language Carp fishing magazine Carp Diem sent me the pictures but I dont have the fishermans name, perhaps you could add a comment on this post Andy with any other info you feel happy to give.

Another excellent capture from Spain was this fine 24kg Mirror caught by Raul whilst fishing with the Carp Diem team, these mirrors are rumoured to have been stocked into certain lakes by Franco, a keen fisherman, and its not often that one of these fine specimens grace the banks. A fantastic effort Raul and everyone here at Morocco Carp salutes your achievment, having fished many waters in Spain for many years I know just what a cracking fish that mirror is. Looking forward to fishing with the Carp Diem team during the Semana Espanola which we are planning for the third week of June...watch this space and give Oliver Alcon a ring for further information and bookings. Spaces are limited so if you would like to fish with some of the best Carp anglers in Spain on one of the hottest big fish venues in the world, dont delay.
